The warming spice of ginger and nutmeg blended with dried leaves on a forest floor that heralded a requirement for cake. A sticky fruitcake mix was abundant with sultanas, dates and dried apricots whilst a plethora of crystalised fruits joined with glace cherries and a dash of orange oil.
