The nose evoked over-toasted marshmallows, marzipan at the cigar smokers’ table, burnt heather and a sugar factory ablaze. The palate deliciously combined smoke and sweet sherry notes – chimney scrapings were mixed with honey, sweetie cigarettes in a real ashtray and seared scallops flambéed with brandy.
