The nose started with a classic blend of honey and oak, then shifted to the clean aromatic sweetness of custard creams, rose Turkish Delight, sherbet straws, yellow plums and kumquats. The palate was mouth-filling and warm – sticky, gooey treacle toffee pudding, with pleasant spice tingles on the tongue (red liquorice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove).
