The slightly wacky nose had waxy oiliness – flowers and hedgerows, putty, straw dipped in wax, stuffed Greek vine leaves, bee pollen and linseed oil. The palate tasted older than its years – dried mango and Meltis newberry (jellied) fruits, olive oil cake, pecan pie and yum-yums and a salt and pepper earthiness to finish.
