The nose kicked off with fresh cut grass, hay and honey on oatcakes; then we got caramel sauce on ice-cream and chocolate sprinkles on banana split; finally some varnished wood that merged into wood spices. The palate was all sweetness and spice – caramel wafer, chocolate chip cookies, spun sugar, gingerbread, hot cross buns and a finish of spiced muscovado.
