The nose was easy and attractive – lemon bonbons, orange fondant, vanilla custard slice and American Cream Soda ice-cream float, with teasing hints of meadowsweet and sage. The neat palate was lively and mouth-filling but not aggressive – confectionery sweetness (rhubarb rock, cola cubes), some marmalade citrus peel and sweet spice to finish (Big Red, hot cross buns).
