Grain The nose hinted at polished wood, paint and glue but was definitely dominated by expansive sweetness – spun sugar, donuts, honeycomb, crème brûlée, salted caramel, lychee syrup and millionaire’s shortbread. The palate similarly juxtaposed varnished wood, Riesling, wood spice and bitter leaf against banana fritters in syrup, toffee, caramel and puff candy.
