On the nose, orange groves and bales of straw were outgunned by the sweetness of lemon drizzle cake, blueberry muffins and banana chips. Some of that echoed on to the palate – lemon puffs and banana bread – but other impressions arrived: coffee cake, tea leaves, perfumed liquorice and grappa.
