This is a 17-year-old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice range. For a new whisky drinker, it is a good example of a peated whisky that often combines smoky character with a cleaner, more coastal style than some other Islay malts.
