Mars

Mars is the whisky label of Hombo Shuzo, a Kagoshima drinks company that gained its whisky licence in 1949 and chose the Mars name when its Yamanashi factory opened in 1960. Malt whisky was distilled at Yamanashi until 1972 and at the Kagoshima factory until 1984, then at Mars Shinshu (now Mars Komagatake) from 1985 and Mars Tsunuki from 2016, with a third maturation site at the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar.
