Knockdhu Distillery, established in 1894, is located in the picturesque region of Speyside, Scotland. The distillery was founded by John Morrison, who identified the location for its excellent water source and proximity to the Great North of Scotland Railway. Over the years, Knockdhu has built a reputation for producing high-quality single malt Scotch whisky, and it continues to honor traditional methods of whisky production while embracing modern techniques to enhance its offerings. The distillery was mothballed in 1983 but reopened in 1989 under the ownership of Inver House Distillers, who rebranded the whisky as anCnoc to avoid confusion with Knockando distillery.

Knockdhu is known for its unique approach to whisky-making, combining age-old practices with contemporary innovation. The distillery produces a range of single malt whiskies under the anCnoc brand, which are celebrated for their light, yet complex character. The whiskies are typically matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish oak ex-sherry butts, resulting in a diverse flavor profile that appeals to a wide range of palates. Knockdhu's commitment to quality and craftsmanship has earned it a loyal following among whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
