A recurring official Karuizawa malt-whisky range released by Mercian under the Pure Malt Whisky name. Verified expressions include the 8-year Karuizawa Story and the 12-year release introduced nationally on 14 November 2000. The age describes the youngest whisky in each vat; documented older component ages belong in the individual Bottle description rather than the Bottle name or age field.
