Karuizawa Pure Malt Whisky

The official Karuizawa Pure Malt Whisky aged 12 years, introduced nationally by Mercian on 14 November 2000. Mercian described it as a vatting built around long-aged stocks from 12 through 31 years and explicitly defined its Pure Malt category as malt whisky blended from multiple distilleries; it is therefore catalogued as blended malt, not single malt.
