A pleasure from start to finish: the nose had the freshness of melon, pear drops, lemon sorbet, cut meadows and peppermint – and then beeswax, sackcloth, mahogany and vanilla candles. The rich, full-bodied palate had buttery honey sweetness, chocolate honeycomb bars, lime-drizzled mango and fruit-flavour boiled sweets; then gentle mouth tingles of ginger, clove and tropical spiced-rum notes.
