Delicate, floral and easy-going, the nose whispered rumours of pecan pie, pears Belle Helene, crystallised orange, sugared almonds, honey and butterscotch – maybe hints of pipe tobacco in a laundry. The palate proved zingy and mouth-drying, with tangerines and lemon tart, hazelnuts, coffee grounds and stem ginger biscuits, chewed pencils and chilli.
