Initial comments on the nose neat were all ‘green’, as in grassy, hedgerows, moss-like and eucalyptus but then descriptors of toasted lemons, honey glazed walnuts and coal scuttle appeared almost from nowhere. After taking a sip we felt transported to an old-fashioned malting floor in full use with the green malt being dried in the kiln.
