The nose was unusual – light and heady, with floral, herbal and perfumed elements – evoking childhood memories of rose petal and musk soap, river weeds, cough mixture and liquorice and blackcurrant "retro sweets". Similar notes accompanied the warmth of the neat taste – hedgerows, lavender and thyme, perfumed sweets (including parma violets), exotic wood, modelling glue and summer fruit cordial.
