The nose was leafy and sweet, complex and lovely – herbs, elderflower, pears, rhubarb, foamy bananas, pink wafers, lemon and ginger tea, liquorice and mature oak. The palate’s pleasing acidity included brambles, Tangfastics, lemon meringue pie and lime sorbet; also ginger and cumin spice, oaky flavours and chewy sweetness to round it off.
