We felt we had lifted a veil to discover the secret aromas of sweet gorse, beeswax, freshly chopped tarragon, marzipan and golden syrup. The taste was sheer class, elegant and refined, concentrated rich apricots with a sweet citric note which emphasised the floral aspect of gorse in full bloom along the coast.
