86/ 100Very good

Torabhaig is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Skye, made in a modern distillery with a style that emphasizes peat smoke and maritime character. An 8-year-old version is likely to show a youthful, assertive profile shaped more by spirit character than long maturation.

Thick and oily, with leafy coastal peat, lemon, bready notes and a saline edge, though its youthful, slightly dirty character makes it challenging.

Textbook Torabhaig: precise coastal smoke, sea spray, olive brine and anchovies, with an oily mouthfeel and a savory, nutty finish.
