Penderyn is a distiller, bottler, and brand of whiskey. Established in 2000, Penderyn is located in Wales, not Scotland. What sets Penderyn apart from its competitors is its unique distillation process and use of Welsh ingredients. Penderyn is the only distillery in Wales and takes pride in its Welsh heritage. The distillery uses a unique copper pot still designed by Dr. David Faraday, a descendant of the famous scientist Michael Faraday. This still allows Penderyn to produce a smooth and flavorful spirit. Penderyn also uses locally sourced barley and water from the Brecon Beacons National Park, giving its whiskey a distinct character.
