The age on this one makes it very smooth and well balanced. Reminds me of a young bourbon without the kick and a bit of fresh greens.
Was excited to try this one and support a new local distiller. It is exactly as described - lots of Eclipse flavor, just like the barrel aged beer. Sharper than the beer and more enjoyable imo.
Flavor is very intense. Not bad, but def not my thing.
Honestly, it’s good. No burn for being barrel proof. Strong banana tones. Overall really enjoyable if you want something sweet.
Really brings out the flavor with a bit of water - or ice in tonight’s case.
Still one of my favorite of all time. Such great flavor.
Had to pour a dram to test the recent Peated changes 😅
My first French whisky - has a good flavor profile. A bit of peat, not too sharp.
Classic Ardbeg taste. Need a comparison against the classic.
Heavy maple and toffee notes. A little bit of burn. Definitely better on the rocks to remove the sharpness (it’s cask strength).
Classic rye notes and stone fruit on the nose. Very little on the taste.
It’s basically an infused whiskey-like substance that smells like tequila and tastes like vanilla.
Really interesting finish. Wouldn’t drink much but as just a tasting it’s a fun flavor profile.
The port flavors really come out in this one. Great flavor but would take the typical acts over this one.
