Lots of pepper on the tongue but a really interesting long finish. I think I prefer the profile of the Glacial Edge more but it’s interesting how this one has…
Very funky on the nose, and it carries through on the tongue. Not my thing - too much on the sherry/sulfur
Its very sherry, very on-label.
Aberargie Inaugural (2026)
A rich and lively whisky with orange, lemon, pepper and ginger, balanced by coastal salinity and fresh oak, with a long, woody finish.
A singular malt with odd notes of frying oil, strawberry yoghurt, pine needles and new rubber, followed by tart apples, farmhouse cider and strong fermentary…
A fresh, cheerful bourbon with tropical papaya, coconut milk and vanilla, offering a light, approachable profile reminiscent of Scottish grain whisky.
A magnificent whiskey with spectacular molasses and rum notes, though it feels thick and suffocating compared with the ten-year-old single barrel.
A lovely, very floral nose leads to an excellent palate of magnificent spices, firm honey, and toasted and roasted nuts, finishing drier with cocoa and tobacco.
An utterly idiosyncratic bourbon with vanilla, roasted peanuts, fudge and nougat, leading to an elegant, powerfully woody palate and a notably dry finish.
A charming, textured whiskey with oriental pastries, orange blossom and vanilla cake on the nose, followed by spicy floral notes, rye, honey and fresh butter.
The name nails it. The nose is a musty ocean side pier, but the taste on this one is great. Definitely a pleasant surprise!
Equinox & Solstice: Ardnamurchan, Ord, Mannochmore…
A light, inoffensive blend with citrus, green apple, vanilla and honey, though its limited flavors and short finish make it more of a bar dram than a home pour.
Lovely and never tiring, this whisky balances medicinal peat, salty smoke and sea spray with candied fruit, citrus, mango and pear syrup.
Rich and polished, this heavily sherried Glenrothes delivers layers of dark fruit, chocolate, tobacco and spice, with a long finish of bitter coffee.
A beautiful Bunnahabhain with refined sherry influence, perfectly polished by time, offering elegant fruits, coastal notes, tobacco and precious woods.
Amazing nose. Makes me think of a cream fruit. Very spicy on the tongue.
