Peated
So much different than modern Laphroaig. Very fruity.
A very intense, deeply medicinal dram packed with smoked bacon, tar, salty liquorice and charred citrus from nose to finish.
Full of personality, with glorious old-school sherry notes, though an astringent edge adds sourness, leathery dryness and bitter, tannic flavors.
A pleasantly unmodern whisky, balancing mineral austerity with vanilla sweetness, waxy texture, leafy smoke and salted liquorice.
Light, fruity and pleasant, with marshmallows, icing sugar and citrus; tauter and lemony on the palate, though it may be best enjoyed with ice in summer.
That timeless cheesy funk. Really amazing.
Love the smoke on the palette
Fruit, meaty, smoke. Amazing.
Lots of smoke! Much softer palette (though we’ve had a few drams).
Unbelievable. A fruit basket on the nose. Meaty, waxy, complex.
