Light peat. Very drinkable
Pretty pleasant
Bold maritime notes blend with tropical fruits and dark sherry, while dark chocolate, liquorice and salty flavors create a rich, balanced whisky.
Trying this one again and really enjoying it. A lot more balanced than I recall and tasting a bit on the bourbon palette.
A little too much backend bite
Pretty drinkable
Slightly sweet front but a bit of burn on the back
This powerful yet easy-to-drink rye balances sugared cherries, tangerines and honey with warming spices, mocha, chocolate, citrus and oak.
Powerful oak and an acidic twist dominate, while sweetness emerges with plenty of water and time; the whisky ultimately absorbed too much oak in the cask.
A refreshing yet powerful whisky, with citrus and coconut giving way to spicy, peppery flavors and a lingering herbal, fruity finish.
Vanilla, caramel, and banana overpower the subtle rye spice, making for a mild finish; it's fine, but not a whisky the reviewer would seek out.
I really liked the 2025, but this one is not doing it for me. Really funky after taste at first. It gets better, but wildly different than the other release.
Really, really this one. Not offensive whatsoever - I've not actually had the normal double oaked, and was worried based on some reviews I saw. It doesn't…
