Very peaty. Lots of smoke on the palette. My first Port Ellen!

Very unexpected. The first Oban I've had that I thoroughly enjoyed.
A phenolic, maritime Scapa with cider, paraffin and seaweed, though age-related dryness gives way to a salty, bitter finish.
A well-made, characterful whisky with oily texture, orchard fruit, biscuits and chalky minerality, ending on peppery oak, salted pear and mineral notes.
Young and beautiful
A little disappointing if I’m honest. It’s definitely good spirit, but I couldn’t justify the price tag.
Very nice, delicate. Honey, lemon.
Elegant and understated, with waxes, citrus and orchard fruit, this refined whisky turns bitter and herbaceous before a slightly short, fruit-light finish.
A beautiful combination of camphor, beeswax, apples, peppermint, eucalyptus and toasted sesame oil leads to superb tension, dried fruits and a perfectly…
A cheerful, walnut-rich whisky with orange cordial, pipe tobacco and bitter ale notes; the reviewer is very taken with this celebratory concoction.
An absolute, sublime stunner: chestnut cream, honey and custard lead into a remarkably salty, ultra-dry palate and an outrageously elegant finish.
A wonderfully elegant whisky, balancing lemon and camphor with teas and herbal infusions, and offering superb tension despite a shorter finish.
A pleasant, dessert-like whisky with grape sweetness, mirabelles, apricot jam and vanilla pastry, balanced by cask spice and bright spirit.
Powerful and very good, with classic flavors, a good balance, and a chalky, mineral character complemented by apples, peaches, lemon peel, and a light smoky…
An interesting whisky with creamy fruitiness, funky notes, brine and ripe fruit, earning the reviewer’s recommendation.
A very autumnal whisky with a dark, savoury profile, combining roasted nuts, cocoa, caramel, spicy oak and old leather.
A highly refined old whisky, balancing pear, apricot, citrus, mint and subtle oak with remarkable elegance throughout.
Fresh and sprightly, with orchard fruits, wax, orange and pastries; a precise, well-defined malt that proves much less fragile than expected.
